UCP Strong Champions' Virtual Event
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona’s first fully virtual event was a smashing success.
Airing during the lunch hour, families, community, and sponsors joined together to hear inspiring stories and learn how ongoing contributions make it possible to advance the mission.
Since 1952, UCP of Central Arizona has offered services to the disability community through physical, developmental, and educational support, providing courage, strength, and hope to families and individuals.
UCP Strong opened with 13-year-old Jack Florez as Emcee, introducing the program while opening up about his own experience. When he was three, Jack started receiving therapies from UCP that have helped him overcome challenges.
The hour-long program focused on the incredible research, inspiring stories, and community support to showcase how beneficial programs and therapies, like those provided by UCP, help children with movement disorders.
The Champions’ Virtual Event was made possible through the support of their sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, and UCP Champion Supporter for FORTY YEARS, Circle K.

- Special video message of support from Pam Kehaly, President & CEO, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona
- State Forty Eight clothing company donated special UCP “merch” for the event
- The theme throughout the event was “Possibilities Realized”
