What is the most exciting thing you are working on right now?
We are expanding our existing space by 2700 square feet to add not only much needed space, but a teaching kitchen and GiGi’s Playhouse Career Development Program- designed for adults with Down syndrome to learn foundational skills to prepare them for improved job opportunities in the community.

What failure did you learn the most from and what did you learn?
It is really important to keep the lines of communication open. As a leader, being able to convey your vision is key to having other people help you get there. I have definitely learned to be a better listener and take other people’s opinions into consideration.
What is your go-to strategy in moments of self doubt?
Fake it til you make it! Staying positve and always looking for the silver lining, no matter how dire things may seem.
Who or what are you most grateful for?
Besides my amazingly supportive family, I am really grateful for my community. I have lived in Scottsdale for 31 years. I feel extremely connected to this place and the friendships I have made and the incredible people I have met since beginnning my work at GiGi’s Playhouse.
How do you recharge?
In the summer I unplug as much as I can. My family and I spend the summers in Laguna Beach, CA. We play tons of tennis and enjoy watching beach volleyball on Main Beach and every night we eat dinner as a family.
