What failure did you learn the most from and what did you learn?
Having a rough childhood, and being self supportive since I was 13 years old and on my own since 15, failure was not and could not be part of my DNA. I really don’t have any failure to look back on (I don’t say this to be arrogant). Success was my mission and key to my survival.
What is your go-to strategy in moments of self doubt?
This is a tough one. I learned long ago that self doubt was the enemy. I learned it was so very important to be my own best friend and to be careful what I said to myself. So when those thoughts creep into my head, I counter them with positive affirmations.
Who or what are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for my father. Even though he was not the best (an abusive and neglectful alcoholic), the portion of my childhood I spent with him helped to mold me into the caring, loving, giving and successful person I am today. I learned to always look for the silver lining!
How do you recharge?
Visiting NYC and Hollywood. I recharge every moment I work with young people as they serve as my greatest inspiration!
